Scot Wheeler, Intelitecht’s Founder, is an Adjunct Lecturer at Northwestern University’s Medill Integrated Marketing Communications Master’s Degree program, where he teaches courses in Statistics & Market Research and Digital Analytics. Scot is an occasional blogger for iMedia Connection, and a frequent event speaker.
Scot holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Scot’s undergraduate degree in Sociology with concentrations in Journalism and Cultural Studies circuitously led him into computer programming in the build-up to Y2K, and his interest in the intersection of technology and culture soon delivered him to digital marketing. Following the dot-com bust, Scot turned to enterprise software implementation consulting centered around data, analytics and visualization. Web 2.0 brought Scot back into digital marketing as the commercial business lead for the social media analytics start-up evolve24.
At evolve24, Scot oversaw the development, sales and delivery of software and strategy services to clients including GE Energy, State Farm, MasterCard, Electronic Arts, Yahoo!, Gatorade and AT&T. After evolve24’s acquisition by Maritz research, Scot moved to the digital agency Critical Mass to help mature the analytics practice as the Group Director of Marketing Science, where he consulted directly with Senior and Executive leadership at clients (HP, USAA, Humana, Moen) to define vision and strategy for data-driven real-time, personalized, multi-channel digital marketing execution, optimization and performance measurement.
